The Metronome is sponsoring a Poster Contest for all middle and high school students.  The task is to create a poster that depicts the life or achievements of a contemporary woman making a difference in the world today.

Women’s History Month runs the entire month of March; but, as so often happens, the month emphasizes the contributions of women from the past and ignores contributions being made in the fields of art, social justice, science, gender equality, athletics, and entertainment right now.

The poster contest invites students to help change the perception that women’s history is only about events of the past.  The contest runs until March 29 and a prize will be awarded by The Metronome staff.  If you have any questions, email Ms. Morello or ask your  English, Engineering or Art teacher.
