An eighth-grade English lab took a break from video games, constructing old-fashioned board games from scratch in the classroom.

The project took place over several classes and the students were graded on progress and presentation more than once, according to journalism and English teacher Mr. Schmerler.

The project helped students learn teamwork and problem-solving, according to Mr. Schmerler.
